My newest obsession! I cannot get enough of this! Thank you NCECA Seattle for that Saturday afternoon of Storage Wars Texas marathon!
Hey bunny love followers, I am back and ready to blog with a vengence! Getting ready to start a whole new body of work in the studio, starting 2 new series. Be on the lookout for a figurative body of work as well as a vessel oriented body. Cannot wait to post some pics soon!
This was an amazing installation by Kelly O'Connor at Sala Diaz in San Antonio, TX during the month of Sept. & October 2010. Upon entering the space you were confronted by a giant Alice, from Wonderland, in a gold room with pink yarn shooting from her fingers into the opposite wall and going through to the other room. Kelly is a master at collage based work and this installatoin felt like walking right into one of her collages. It was amazing! Hope you enjoy! I loved it!
While working on the pieces for my upcoming Houston exhibit at the Anya Tish Gallery, I found some down time to make new tumblers. I love these guys so much and cannot wait for my friend Carrie to receive one in the mail. I will have new pics up next week of the artwork going to Houston, I am very excited about these new pieces!
There are 2 excellent exhibits happening right now at the Southwest School of Art & Craft. If you are anywhere near San Antonio, TX, you should check these out. The first is a retrospective of the ceramic works of Kurt Weiser. This guy can definitely china paint!
The other exhibit is by San Antonio artist, Jung Hee Mun. Her drawings are the best. I love them and can't wait to own one!
